I recently had the pleasure of attending a very special fundraising event organised by the inspirational Laura Middleton, called 10 Years of Defiance.
Laura has been living with secondary breast cancer for 10 years, and her determination, strength and courage are truly inspiring. Rather than allowing her diagnosis to define her, Laura has used her journey to bring people together, raise awareness and make a difference to others.
The evening was all about celebrating life, strength, friendship and the incredible breast cancer community, while raising money for the wonderful charity Little Lifts, which supports people going through cancer treatment.
I attended alongside my lovely friend Alex from Her Bodywear, and it was wonderful to be surrounded by so many amazing people, all coming together for such a meaningful cause.
As someone who has experienced breast cancer myself and founded Lady Survivors Mastectomy Swimwear, events like this mean so much to me. They remind me just how powerful our community is and how important it is to support, encourage and lift one another up.
A huge thank you to Laura for organising such a special evening. Ten years of defiance is an incredible milestone, and Laura is a beautiful reminder that life, friendship and hope deserve to be celebrated.
Here's to strength, sisterhood and making a difference together. ❤️
