What is mastectomy swimwear?

Mastectomy swimwear is specially designed for women who have had a mastectomy or breast surgery. My styles include discreetly integrated pockets to securely hold a breast prosthesis or swim form, helping you feel comfortable and confident in the water.

Can I wear my breast prosthesis in your swimwear?

Yes. My mastectomy swimwear is designed to accommodate a breast prosthesis or swim form. The discreet pocket helps keep your prosthesis securely in place while you swim or enjoy time by the pool or beach.

Will my prosthesis stay securely in place when I swim?

My mastectomy swimwear is designed to provide a secure and comfortable fit, with the prosthesis pocket helping to prevent your prosthesis from moving around during swimming.

As with any swimwear, choosing the correct size and fit is important for maximum comfort and security.

Do I have to wear a breast prosthesis with your swimwear?

Not at all. My swimwear can also be worn without a prosthesis. The choice is completely yours, and our designs are made to give you comfort and confidence whether you choose to wear a prosthesis or not.

Is mastectomy swimwear only suitable after a full mastectomy?

No. My swimwear may be suitable for women following different types of breast surgery, including mastectomy and partial breast surgery. If you're unsure whether a particular style will work for you, please get in touch I'd be happy to help.

Does the swimwear look different from regular swimwear?

My aim is for it to look and feel like beautiful, stylish swimwear, not medical clothing. The prosthesis pockets are discreetly incorporated into the design, so there is no need to compromise on style.

Is your mastectomy swimwear comfortable?

Comfort is at the heart of my designs. I consider features such as supportive construction, soft fabrics and a secure fit to help you feel comfortable whether you're swimming, relaxing by the pool or enjoying a day at the beach.

What size should I choose?

I recommend using our size guide and taking your measurements before ordering. If you are between sizes or are unsure which size would be best, please contact me  and we'll be happy to help you choose.

Can I wear my swimwear in a swimming pool?

Yes. My swimwear is designed for swimming and can be worn in swimming pools, as well as for holidays, beach days and other activities around the water.

Can I wear it in the sea?

Yes. My swimwear is suitable for swimming in the sea. We recommend rinsing your swimsuit thoroughly in fresh water after use to help remove salt, sand and other residues.

How should I wash my mastectomy swimwear?

Please follow the individual care instructions provided with your swimwear. As a general rule, rinse your swimsuit in clean, cool water after swimming and allow it to dry naturally. Avoid harsh detergents, bleach and tumble drying unless the care label specifically says otherwise.

Will chlorine damage my swimsuit?

Chlorine and other chemicals found in swimming pools can affect swimwear fabrics over time. Rinsing your swimsuit in fresh water after each swim can help to prolong its life.

Can I wear my normal bra or prosthesis with the swimwear?

My mastectomy swimwear is designed to be worn on its own, with a breast prosthesis or swim form placed inside the built-in pocket. You should not normally need to wear a separate bra underneath.

Is the swimwear suitable if I have sensitive skin or scars?

Everyone's skin and healing process is different. If you have recently had surgery, please follow your healthcare professional's advice about when it is appropriate to swim and what clothing is suitable for you. My customer service team can also help with questions about the fit and construction of individual styles.

I have had breast reconstruction. Can I wear your swimwear?

Potentially, yes. My swimwear is designed with comfort and versatility in mind, and you do not necessarily need to have a breast prosthesis to wear it. If you have particular requirements following reconstruction, please contact me and I will be happy to discuss the styles that may suit you.

Can I wear your swimwear after radiotherapy?

This depends on your individual circumstances and how your skin has healed. If your skin is still sensitive or you have any concerns, we recommend speaking with your healthcare professional before swimming or wearing swimwear over the affected area.

Do you offer advice on choosing a style?

Absolutely. Choosing swimwear after breast surgery can feel daunting, particularly if you're not sure what style or level of coverage will suit you. Im happy to talk through the different options and help you find something that makes you feel comfortable and confident.
